How are creators taxed in South Africa?
If you earn above the tax threshold you must register as a taxpayer with SARS and file an annual ITR12 return in the filing season. For the 2027 year of assessment (1 March 2026 to 28 February 2027) the threshold is R99,000 for people under 65. Late returns can bring penalties.
