Rules
In Dubai, the Dubai Film and Television Commission (DFTC) is, under Executive Council Resolution No. 16 of 2012, the sole entity authorised to license filming for media production (television, cinema, commercials, drama, documentaries, photography and more), indoors and outdoors. The DFTC coordinates with the relevant government and private entities, and those entities' approval for filming at their locations must still be obtained. The resolution says permit fees can be amended by the DFTC, so confirm the current fee with the DFTC before budgeting.
