Can you fly a drone to film or photograph in Ghana?
Every drone is registered with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, first in person at its office at Kotoka International Airport, and registration is renewed yearly (US$20 for each registration or renewal of a small or light drone, up to 7 kg). No drone may fly without a GCAA permit, and importing one needs the GCAA's written approval.

Stay 10 km from airports and helipads with published instrument procedures (5 km from those without), at least 30 m from buildings, vehicles and people not under your control, and below 400 feet within sight unless the GCAA approves. Night flights need special GCAA authorisation.
