Can you fly a drone to film or photograph in Thailand?
Every drone is registered with the NBTC; camera drones and drones over 2 kg, and their operators, are also registered with CAAT on its UAS Portal, which needs a Thai SIM card. Third-party insurance of at least 1 million baht is compulsory. Each flight is submitted on the UAS Portal at least 3 days ahead; flights are daylight only and within sight, and flying above 90 m needs written approval.
